Here is an extremely rare LEATHER exquisitely beautiful facsimile of the 385 year old Bible : 1633 Biblia Sacra Vulgate Holy Bible in Latin with the TETRAGRAMMATON God's Name Jehovah on the Title page at the top in Hebrew characters. This Bible contains God's Name thousands of times as "JEHOVA" !!! This is extremely unique as most Bibles of that time had replaced the Divine Name with surrogates such as "Lord". Most outstanding is the Tetragrammaton on the Title page which only a couple of Bibles have had including the 1611 First Edition King James Bible.{This large Bible has 946 pages with gold glint leafing and measurements are 10 x 8 x 2 3/4 inches}More details:Joan Blaeu (1596 – 1673) was a Dutch cartographer born in Alkmaar, the son of cartographer Willem Blaeu. Immanuel Tremellius (1510 – 1580) was an Italian Jewish convert to Christianity. He was known as a leading Hebraist and Bible translator. Franciscus Junius (1545 – 1602) was a Reformed scholar and theologian. Born in Bourges in central France, he initially studied law, but later decided to study theology in Geneva under John Calvin and Theodore Beza. He became a minister in Antwerp, but was forced to flee to Heidelberg in 1567. He wrote a major translation of the Bible into Latin with Emmanuel Tremellius, and his De Vera Theologia was an important text in Reformed scholasticism. Theodore Beza (1519 – 1605) was a French Protestant Christian theologian and scholar who played an important role in the Reformation. A member of the monarchomaque movement who opposed absolute monarchy, he was a disciple of John Calvin and lived most of his life in Switzerland.
